WE'RE BACK! AND WHILE WELLINGTON ON A PLATE FEELS ,OH SO LONG AGO, I REMEMBER IT ALL TOO WELL. It was A HAZE OF THAT UNCOMFORTABLY FULL FEELING. CONFIT TO COFFEE, POSSOM TO POUSSIN - I ATE LIKE I'VE NEVER EATEN BEFORE. IT ALL STARTED WITH HOPS A PLENTY AT BEERVANA AND ENDED WITH ME desperately trying to find change down the back of the couch for one Last Oyster.
I don't think at any point I ever really felt hungry - I just found myself eating from social cues or some sort of Pavlovian response. A lot happened during those two weeks and in the weeks since, which I'll update you on in the next post (coming soon, I promise). Hopefully I'll get to post that video of the time I had to speak for 6 minutes 40 seconds in front of 550 people, straight after a politician whose job it is talk in front of that many people. Probably the most terrified I've ever been, but also one of the most rewarding things I've done.
